Customization of Base Colors

Within the Colors section, you will find a series of selectors that allow you to define the fundamental colors of the theme.

Primary Color

The primary color represents the heart of your brand’s identity. It will be used as the dominant hue in various interface elements. Choose a color that reflects your brand’s personality, as it will serve as the main visual reference point.

Primary Text Color

This color is intended for text that appears on backgrounds featuring the primary color. Ensure there is good contrast so that the text is easily readable. For example, on a dark primary color, it is recommended to use light text, and vice versa.

Base Text Color

The base text color will be applied to most textual content within the theme, especially on neutral backgrounds. Choose a color that ensures comfortable reading (typically a dark tone on a light background or a light tone on a dark background).

Link Color

Define the color of standard links within the theme. The chosen color should be easily recognizable as a clickable link, distinguishing it from regular text.

Link Hover Color

Set the color that links will adopt when the user hovers over them with the mouse. This color change provides immediate visual feedback, indicating to the user that the text is interactive.

Link Visited Color

Visited links can change color to help users understand which pages they have already viewed. Choose a shade that clearly differentiates visited links from unvisited ones without compromising the site's aesthetics.

Accent Color

The accent color can be used to highlight important elements such as buttons, alerts, or design details. Choose a hue that harmoniously pairs with the primary color while still standing out in the interface.

Background

The theme’s base background color will be the main backdrop of your interface. Opt for a neutral and pleasing color that highlights content and text. Typically, a light color is preferred to ensure optimal readability.

Colors for Specific Elements

In addition to the base color settings, in the subsequent sections of the settings, you can define the colors of specific elements present in the theme. For example, you can determine the colors of backgrounds, titles, buttons, and other components. This flexibility allows you to create a coherent and distinctive color palette, enhancing your users' navigation experience.

Tips for a Balanced Palette

  • Contrast and Readability: Ensure that texts are always easily readable against the chosen background color. A good contrast ratio helps prevent visual fatigue.
  • Visual Consistency: Maintain the same color style throughout the site to provide users with a consistent and professional experience.
  • Brand Identity: Let the theme’s colors represent your brand’s personality. A well-defined palette strengthens your brand’s recognition.
